President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the importance of addressing the waste management issue in Bali with seriousness and urgency—an issue that concerns not only cleanliness, but also the future of the environment, tourism, and the quality of life of local communities. His statement serves as a reminder that waste management is no longer the responsibility of a few parties, but rather a collective agenda requiring tangible collaboration among the government, the private sector, and society at large.
As a world-renowned tourist destination, Bali faces significant challenges in waste management, particularly in coastal areas. Beaches that symbolize the island’s natural beauty are frequently affected by waste carried from both land-based and marine activities. This condition poses a threat to ecosystems, marine life, and Bali’s international reputation.
In response to this call, on February 13, 2026, Sanga Sanga by PT Kutus Kutus Herbal took part in a beach clean-up initiative as a demonstration of its social responsibility and environmental commitment. The activity not only symbolized support for the national movement but also reflected the company’s core values, which place harmony with nature as a fundamental principle.
Participation in the beach clean-up represents a concrete step demonstrating that environmental concern must be translated into real action. Employees and management were directly involved in collecting and sorting waste on-site. This initiative proves that meaningful change can begin with simple actions, when carried out consistently and collectively.
The company’s commitment to sustainability is also embodied in its factory production system, which adopts a zero-waste concept. This approach focuses on minimizing waste, maximizing the utilization of raw materials, and ensuring that every production process operates as efficiently as possible without disrupting ecological balance. The principle aligns with the philosophy of living in harmony with nature, which serves as the foundation in the development of its herbal products. The zero-waste commitment is reflected in products such as Sabun Kaliku Kaliku, Sabun Tanamilah Tanahmu, Sanga Sanga Powder, and Dupa Herbal.
The zero-waste concept is not merely an operational strategy, but a long-term vision. By reducing potential waste and optimizing resources, the company contributes to lowering its environmental footprint while creating a more responsible production system. This step forms part of its broader effort to support sustainable development in Indonesia.
The beach clean-up movement and the implementation of environmentally friendly production practices demonstrate that the private sector plays a vital role in protecting the planet. When environmental responsibility is integrated into corporate culture, its impact is felt not only today but also by future generations. Ultimately, caring for the Earth is an essential part of caring for life itself.
